Not a true fougere through to my nose, despite the name! It's fairly sweet smelling with a prominent hay note.

Fine for the price but I don't think it's intended to be used as a perfume/fragrance for the day like a modern Eau de Toilette, more of an old school Cologne you can splash on before bed or as you get out of the shower, something to give you a fresh smelling edge for a couple of hours.
It won't win any awards but must be doing something right as it's been in constant production since the 1920's.

Cheapest on Amazon, that's where I got mine but you'll need to bump it over £20 for the free shipping... Maybe time for a couple of extra Pitralon bottles?
