Sava razor set - anybody seen anything like this before?

This French razor set arrived today. I thought it looked interesting from the auction pictures, but it's a bit more unusual than I first thought. It's got two different top plates and the various open combs all have different lengths. So each of the four cutting edges should provide a different level of aggressiveness. The razor head really bends the blade as well and I wonder if the razor is designed to be held flat to the face.

Ever seen one like this before? I can't find anything about it.
