S.O.T.D. Saturday 8th March to Friday 14th March 2014

Monday evening

Merkur 37c slant
Lord Super
Kent BLK12
Tabac
Alt Innsbruck

what a combo the Kent and Tabac are. Just too much lather, coud easily have shaved again with what was left. the lather is just perfect, rich, creamy and very protective - perfect really. Really starting to enjoy Tabac, great lather, great scent.

First time using the Alt Innsbruck and one of those epiphany moments - what a wonderful splash.

Tuesday 11 March, 2014

Morning all.

Prep: Hot shower, Bulldog Facial Wash
Pre: Tepid water splash
Brush: Simpson's TSN LE 185/200
Soap: Figaro P.160
Razor: Cobra Classic SE
Blade: Kai Captain #1
Post: Alum, Honeybee Gardens Sandalwood ASL, Simpson's ASB
Fragrance: Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere Colonia

Result: Went the full hog this morning and used the non-guard, non-mild Kai blades. Certainly sharp, and I made an extra effort to exert minimal pressure. Ended up in an excellent smooth, irritation free shave.

All the best,

Jon

Prep: G'Day Mate face wash and scrub, lather massaged and hot muslin cloth

Brush: Omega 10098
Razor: Merkur 15c
Blade: Gillette Super Thin (3)
Post: Cold rinse, Alum & Witch Hazel
A/S: Old Spice

BBS all over. This razor/blade combo is amazing. I barely even feel the razor but it makes light work of my coarse hair. Shaves equal to the R41 but feels a hundred times milder.

Result - Shite

I've never used an electric razor, I have owned one though. It was a Christmas present when I must have started sprouting bumfluff and I can honestly say it was the most disappointing gift I have ever received. I was probably still of 'toy' age - what do I mean was?

Chris.

Tuesday

Afternoon, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJDE89
Blade: Derby Extra (3)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave cream: Erasmic Supreme
Aftershave: Old Spice Champion
Cologne: Lynx Twist

A really good and close shave. I think the extra stubble I had after yesterday's shave with the Mach 3 helped.

Turkish no. 6 brush
Shavecraft with Rainbow super stainless
Vitos coconut
Nivea Original balm

Nice. Will update the blade spread sheet later with this blade
