S.O.T.D Saturday 24th June to Friday 30th June 2017

Where did you source those blades, Paul?

Frugal Phursday
Prep: Lots of cold water
Cream: Rose of Bulgaria
Brush: Hawkins & Brimble
Razor: RR German 37
Blade: Astra SP (2)
Afters: Hawkins & Brimble PSB and Rose of Bulgaria AS
A nice two pass WTG XTG shave. The Hawkins & Brimble PSB absorbs quickly and leaves the skin feeling nice and soft.
With many thanks to @shaunwistow for Piffing the Hawkins & Brimble items.

Thursday...

Soap - Proraso M&E
Brush - Omega Mixed Midget bodger
Face lather
Razor - Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade - Wilkinson Sword Classic #2
Post - Proraso White a/s balm
A/s - Proraso M&E

Travel kit today. Decent shave from the WS; but no more than 2 shaves from the blade, I reckon. But the razor and blades are cheap as chips.

Nice cool Proraso - it never fails to deliver and the Omega small chap whips up a lather in no time. 3 passes, but a bit of work in the touch-up department. A 7 o' Clock Yellow next time I use this razor, methinks.

Thursday 29th June 2017

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Face Wash and Proraso White
Razor: OneBlade Core
Blade: Feather FHS-10 (#3)
Brush: Maseto Fan Shape 2 band finest 30mm
Cream: Body Shop Maca Root
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea 2 phase

Almost another perfect shave, somehow a small area along my chin line was a bit patchy but everywhere else perfect. I think the blade is still good, it was just poor technique on my part, over confident?

Good evening fellow sotd,ers.
Tonight's shave was inspired by the recent thread about this part of the forum.
In it I use a free from my friend razor, a cheap Gillette blade, a cheap but serviceable omega brush given to me by my son and a $14 soap, so definitely no Willy waving here.
The photo is unfortunately not very good but again was brought about by one of the posts on the same thread regarding that the photos give a brief glimpse into our lives.
So here goes.
Gillette razor
Gillette silver blue blade #2 last
Omega boar brush
Phoenix harvest soap
Atkinson's oud save the king
The soap as usual was really good, great smell, slick, but quite thirsty to get right.
The Gillette blade was definitely on its way out , even though it was only it's second outing.
Cheap shave with pretty good finish after a three pass and some buffing up.

Love the photo!

How would you describe the smell of the PAA Harvest Moon you utter dong-dangler, you? I jest, of course.
