Back pain, tell me about it! I hope you are on the mend soonThursday's Midday Shave
Wash with Nivea Men Sensitive
Wilkinson's Coconut & Vanilla body butter
DE89L/ Shark (2)
Mitchell's Wool Fat
RazoRock 400 Plissoft Noir
Proraso Green ASL
Lacoste Original
I let the Wool Fat Soap bloom for a few minutes prior to use. It really makes a difference, plenty of rich lather erupted almost as soon as I begun to load the brush.
While bowl lathering I splayed the brush bristles in the bottom of the bowl a few times to really get the most of the lather, result. . . Masses of lovely lather!
Second run out for the DE89L/Shark combo, and the blade is still sharp and smooth as the first use.
Three passes and a couple of pick ups has resulted in a very good finish.
I like to clean my razor and bowl before I put them back on the shelf, and today I accidentally dropped the bowl on the tiled bathroom floor. It hit the ground and ended up on the landing. I could see it was in one piece, and on further inspection it didn't even have a crack ! It's a good job it was only a cheap tapas bowl from Home Bargains.!
A liberal splash of Proraso and a couple of sprays of Lacoste and I'm smelling good !
It's just a shame I'm stuck at home with back pain. . .
I've noticed that Feather's seem to be so much more mellow on their second (and subsequent) outings as well!
I'm only two shaves in with mine and it was superb today. I'll certainly report back as I go along! What you said - DE or SE - if find this to be the case although the DE's degrade quickly for me. I.

I hope you get some relief from your back pain. Unfortunately, I know all to well how it feels.
It seems we're a bunch of old crocks on here!
Thanks guy's..
I know I'm not alone, back pain is very common.
My problem is the dreaded L5 S1, and degenerative disc disease.
It began when I was just 15, I'm 47 now.
This is my second bout that's been bad enough to be off work with this year.
I'm hoping to be back to work next Monday, it's driving me nuts being stuck at home and knowing I've got lots of work getting further behind.
