Really enjoyed the MDC as expected awesome lather, first shot with a perma sharp blade courtesy of @Michlaustn...thank you ! First impressions it's not a bad blade, didn't seem to get me as close as some blades but I am using it in a Feather AS D2 so it could well perform a lot better in a more aggressive razor, I don't really want to comment on the comfort yet as my face is pretty sore at the minute with acne but it certainly didn't seem any worse than other blades under the same circumstances, will give them a good run though and a fair chance before moving on to the personna's and comparing ! Overall not a bad shave to say my skin is pretty inflamed at the minute.

SOTD: 191017

Blade: Schick Proline #3
Razor: Feather Japanese style SS (On Loan @culcreuch )
Brush: Hans Baier slivertip
Soap: Vreto Opium
Bowl: S.V. holy Grail
Post: Alum and Lea Blam.
Edt: Joop

Cut myself during the first pass. My chin would not stop bleeding for some time.
Finished my shave off with the 1912.

Soap is excellent and well aided by the S.V. Bowl.
This brush has more scratch than any other badger I have used but does the job.

Alum worked its magic and reduced the bleeding.

Not the best shave I have ever had but I will not give in with this razor. (Providing I have a face left )

Enjoy your shaves!

Everyone should have a Wee Scot, it punches well above its weight and even when face lathering will hold more than enough for three passes.

I couldn't agree more P. - I really enjoy the precision of face lathering with it versus a much bigger knot. A nice change now and again. It is indeed astonishing how much lather it holds. In fact I think I'll use mine tonight. Cheers - I.

Yes these darn carbon blades are crazy smooth, use twice and toss but if comfortable shave is your top priority above all else I'd say that 8-10p a blade is worth it.

Greetings All,

Thursday pm shave.

One days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: None
Soap: E&C West Indian Lime shaving cream
Razor: Rockwell 6C (4P)
Blade: Shark SS (5th)
Brush:Omega 641 Silvertip (bowl lather)

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, then Proraso aftershave Green and Nivea Sensitive Cooling Balm.

Pre-holiday shave ready for my long flight tomorrow (frolicking in Florida with the family). 3 awesome passes – the Shark blade just keeps on giving and the lather was just perfect.

Not sure if I will be online much so enjoy your weekend, Gents

Only downside, forgot to pre-order some shaving stuff to be there when I arrive, BUT did pre-order some comics SO not all bad

Cheers,

Brian
