Thanks, mate. Yes, it's an early version of what became the Empire, intended for wedges but the screws permit slim modern GEM blades to be used and put into place.

Here's the thread when I got it ... the clean-up: http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/forum/thread-27447.html

Fridayday

Morning, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Tesco own-brand (7)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: Tabac
Aftershave: Tabac
Cologne: Tabac

A rather late but very relaxing shave this evening. No kids buzzing around my feet or knocking in the bathroom door.

Bowl lathered English Lavender SS, two passes all finished off with a couple of light squirts of this Italian classic scent from 1955, Pino Silvestre.

Godetevi la notte!

No irritation today and a DFS

Yesterday:
Pre eucalyptus oi
Truefitt & Hill no. 10 cream
Simpsons colonel brush
Filarmonica sub-cero
Todays:
Kent mentholated cream
Simpsons colonel
Kropp straight razor
Sample of ogalalla peppercorn and lime Bayrum kindly donated. Scent gets addictive.

Just about to head into town with kids, and thought a nautical sea themed shave would be nice today.

Southsea Spray SS, Wilkinson boarbrush palm lathered, two passes and a good splashing of Blue Stratos for a great feeling of freshness.

Now ready for town!
