S.O.T.D. Saturday 11th March to Friday 17th March 2017

Did the Fatip live up to the hype created by us enablers?

17th March

I had a wonderful shave this morning. Some Gillette Vector blades arrived in the post yesterday from eBay and they are cracking good blades - sharp, smooth and gentle on the face. I've always been a huge fan of the Atra/Contour and really should invest in a decent handle.

I've used the Saponificio Bignoli creams for most of my shaves recently and I'll probably end up buying full tubs of the other flavours. It's probably the best cream I've ever used.

Friday...

Soap - Valobra Menthol
Brush - Semogue 2000 boar
Face lather
Razor - Ever Ready 1924
Blade - Gem Personna
Post - Thayer's and Proraso Green a/s

Bliss. Not having the closest of shaves with the 1914 yesterday meant there was enough for today's resultant smoothness. The 1924 certainly delivered. 3 passes with minimal touch up.

The 2000 keeps getting better and better. Plenty Valobra lather generated; which has a lovely menthol essence. I really feel it with the cold water rinsing between passes. Proraso to finish off and my face feels cooler than an Esquimax' codpiece.
