Hi there, if everything is perfect , stone, strop pad, blade etc you may be able to get as much as £20.00 but you will need to set you sights lower if anything is less than perfect. On EBay the average price is £10.00 but these sets are never perfect and nine times out of ten the blade will need to be honed on a set of stones to get it into a shave ready condition.Hi All
I have in my possession a Rolls Razor
Which I would like to pass on the problem is I've no idea of the value it comes complete with 3 handles and 3 heads it's in very good condition obviously if there was any interest I would provide photos It does have the original box ( (that's) showing it's age!!) plus all instructions
I must have had it for over 40 years
Anyway if anyone can advise me I would be very grateful
I hope that I'm not breaking any forum rules by this inquiry
Many thanks

I'm sure they were very popular judging by the number of models produced and the huge availability of them now although a few of the sets I've got look like they were bought and used a couple of times and then put in a draw because they didn't have EBay back then to offload them!Does anyone know if the Rolls razors were popular in their day as they seem quite easily available in charity shops. I bought one the other day and there were two more in the same shop. Just a case of pick the best of the three.
Just curiosity
There are three types of handle, one separates in the middle, one is telescopic and you have the other one! I had no idea that the top was threaded though so I have learned someting new today! P.Hi everyone, I had an issue trying to separate a Rolls handle expecting it to come apart in the middle. After a WD40 bath and some gentle persuasion the blade holder moved and revealed a thread, in the top of the handle is a "sprung ball-bearing" which after a bit work has also been freed up.
I now have a working handle however does anyone have any info on this model?
Cheers.

The "what is" and " how to" thread for the Rolls Razor
[ATTACH][ATTACH][ATTACH] I'm going to start a thread on and for anyone who is interested in the Rolls Razor. I'm going to focus on those elements...theshaveden.com

The top isn't designed to be removed on a regular basis, the way the blade mounts is by forcing the handle onto the spine of the blade, causing the spring loaded ball to depress into the handle, the spring pressure on the ball thus causes the blade to be held securely in position in the hook on the handle. I'm pretty sure that the blades supplied with the spring loaded handles had a slightly different, more rounded end profile to allow the blade to slide into the handle easierHi everyone, I had an issue trying to separate a Rolls handle expecting it to come apart in the middle.
