Ridged shaving bowl?

Got the bowl yesterday. Gave it whirl this morning. Whipped a lather super easy and fast. The ridges are perfect for agitating the soap. Well worth the wait for it.

but there's a new kid on the block. The Black & Grey is on its way...

from the USA. Will let you know how it goes when it arrives.

fancontroller, you have enabled me.

I've been looking to treat myself to something shave related with a little money I received at Christmas, and this hit the spot. Currently on its way from the US, should be here in just over a week.

That was a great deal. I think I'd actually prefer a glazed inside suribachi as opposed to a non-glazed inside suribachi.

One thing that I wondered though; how easy are these things to clean up afterwards? I mean sometimes with a regular ridged bowl I have soap (not lather) left stuck on the ridges, I would image on a suribachi that's a bit of a pain clean off. Any experience?

used it this morning soo far it cleans up good. no soap stuck inbetween the ridges think maybe its beacause its glazed inside so its easy to clean it
