I’ve been contemplating these for a while and buoyed by restraint surplus funds and an unexpected additional payment from a client I’m tempted to get some despite the strong price in the UK.

Any experiences of these and also any tips on cleaning?

Iv wore Redwing most of my working life & i changed over to Wolverines a few years ago & can’t fault either brand although wolverines can be extortionate.
Last year i moved over to a Norwigian company & this is what i have.
Not for everyone’s taste but there’s boots for everyone.
Sorry o can’t tell you about cleaning iv never cleaned a work boot ever lol and i basically work in jungle terrain. Sometimes iv used higher boots & the mud comes inside
but when it rains in Trooical countries it rains & the mud is like glue.
Don’t be put of by the colour they have everything but the most comfortable boot iv ever had

Thanks! Can’t fault LeChameau for tramping through the thick, wet, muddy horrible stuff (heavy though) or Salomon for Summer…. These Redwings are for more casual as an alternative to Loake slip ons

I have often thought of buying a pair, or the Indy 405. I have just seen a copycat of the 405 called the Adventurer which is not expensive.
Yep, lots of copy cats but I’m not so sure how good they will be, lots of the guys in our US office swear by ‘Thursday’ which are 60% of cost

The wolverine had were the most expensive boots iv ever had at a rough guess i think they were £500 but i do need a good boot.
The green sievi are £300 but comfortable.
Ah ok i didn’t realise you were after casual.
Another good American brand are Justin they might take your eye
I’d recommend Le Chameau if you can put up with leather, so comfortable and completely waterproof, but heavy in ‘clown’ sizes

I’ll certainly have a look mate.
I only got the Seivi a few months ago.
I do prefer leather but i need to watch what i’m doing.
i’m constantly in mud & puddles and the boots get wet then dry.
Working in Africa my boots can be soaking then dry within a couple of hours & this happens constantly then the leather starts cracking.
