To all dog owners here, I acquired a new dog in the summer last year. It is a long coated breed called Barbet (beard in French).

As all dog salons were closed for lockdown I think I will do some do some diy grooming.

We invested in high quality Japanese pet grooming scissors (not cheap at £45) and now looking for a good quality cordless or corded clippers for under £70).

Yes, I asked the owners of this breed about the double coating, plus some the active members of the KCUK and it seems normal to clip this breed (not shave) once a year to reduce the risk of matting. Someone recommended looking at Oster or Whal clippers, but which one (?)
