Hi all

I'm looking to save / download some youtube videos on a Mac (snowleopard 10.6)

Basically you just add the PwnYouTube bookmark to your browser toolbar et viola! vids saved in the file format of you choice?

Is this the safest / best way to capture those streams?

Sorry Rev, if you'd been using Windows or Ubuntu Linux I would have been able to but not a Mac!

I've used that before I think seems pretty good . The quality might not be too great if you go changing formats though.

It's free, from a reputable firm and works with all sorts of embedded movies on the internet, particularly good for artistic videos :roll:

I'm using Download Them All, the Firefox extension, to rip videos. Works a treat on my old powermac running 10.4but I've not checked to see if it works on my macbook with snow leopard.

It's free, from a reputable firm and works with all sorts of embedded movies on the internet, particularly good for artistic videos :roll:

Not sure how useful my suggestion is for artistic vids, does a nice job with porn :mrgreen:

Nope I think that as Google owns Youtube and makes Chrome they tend to disable any add ons which allow youtube downloads after all if Youtube wanted you to be able to down load them they would have a <Save as> option
