Pulled a shot with a naked portfilter (yes, naked coffe porn in here)...

They haven't, supermarket beans aren't generally recommended because they're old. I found Waitrose beans are better than a below average bunch so I'm guessing that they maybe easily available if you want to play.

I don't suppose sleep will come easily tonight but hey ho! what a taste sensation.

A Dualit burr grinder, some beans and a stainless steel cafetiere turned up today and well! - you just gotta have a play, haven't you? I thought I'd set it to grind for two cups but it was three so a very good Americano and taste! wow! I see what you mean about freshly ground coffee - I'm going to get used to this!

The plan is to use my Bialetti whilst I shower for the first cup of the day and the cafetiere for breakfast coffee - that is eight shots so I should be bouncing off the ceiling nicely.

Now I'm waiting for the Health Gurus to announce that coffee isn't good for us! I'll ignore them about that, too.

I hope they don't, but I'll ignore it, coffee must be better than beer.

Another convert! If you fancy a little Artisan roasted coffee there are some very good, dedicated people around and cost wise it's generally better value than the big boys. Mine is roasted here: http://yorkcoffeeemporium.co.uk/. If you fancy a little to try drop me a PM and I'll send you some.

Oh man Carl, you are so screwed.

Look, the members are even providing some extra links to help you even more. It's what they do........help I mean.

Martin

No intention, I said, of buying a machine - but you were right, Martin. I is screwed, well and truly. Neil even sent me some delicious beans (thanks again!) and then said the coffee would taste even better as espresso.

Ugly! Slavering over the Net, I was up to £2500 for a lovely machine but it was bigger than my kitchen, which, fortunately, I spotted in the nick of time. So now I'm negotiating on Gumtree for a machine that is available in shops all over the world - except UK!

Words of warning and wisdom - don't read TSR and stick to instant coffee, guys.
