Hi, first post here. I bought this knowing full well that the handle and head are probably mismatched, but I wanted a Gillette Flat Bottom, so bought it anyhow.
What I do know: It's all brass and weighs 58g.
The head: Really hope it's a flat bottom! Top plate weighs 12.2g and bottom plate 13.7g which matches pretty closely to weights I've seen posted for flat bottoms. So if it is a flat bottom I guess that's 1946-49? If it isn't a flat bottom, what is it?
The handle: Definitely brass, not aluminium. Weight 32g, Length 73mm. For me the defining feature is the ring above the ball. I've struggled to find anything similar, except for US models, but they all have aluminum handles. The best match I've found was from this post, and there was debate about whether that model was 40s or 50s.
