Thanks @patw for restarting this thread - in a similar vein - iconic buildings - the Colosseum - that's it at the end of the street - I hated the place - Rome - that is - that's why I didn't take a proper picture of it - I was so pissed off - the most disappointing city I have been to - beautiful certainly - but I was treated with better grace in Kabul during the civil war - and I felt safer there - I.

Recently, I was in Orkney for the wedding of a friend's daughter. There was a table at the reception with sweets on it and I thought it was a great opportunity to capture an image with colour and practice with depth of field.
