No but a good guessI'm sure it is a seed of some sort, and the backwards barbs designed to catch onto clothes or fur to transport.
Not sure what variety though.

It is - indeed - all about the light. Two pictures of my other half - taken about an hour ago. Pretty much straight out the camera - no post production - other than auto levels and resizing in Photoshop. Yours - I.
