Everyone seemed to be fine - or not giving a damn at least. Then again, I was mostly using a discreet rangefinder (QL17) and even more discreet GM5.
Yeah, I love the quite and discreet aspects, only wish focusing was easier like with SLRs (especially in low light). Maybe it is with the likes of Bessa and Leicas, but that's too rich for me right now.Indeed H - for years I have favoured the range finder for 'low impact' photography. You can get closer or at least minimise the impact of the photographer in the situation? So things happen in front of you and you can take its picture. Cheers - I.
Loving the child bottom left of the top picture, good work I.View attachment 32291

Things you can do with reflections and rangefinders - the redeveloped Malaga sea front. Leica and film. Cheers - I.

A lovely spot for a honeymoon, congratulations.Taking a day at the coast with my lovely (actually a honeymoon of sorts). Across the street from the Inn...made with Leica Q and transferred via iPad.
Pure genius, I won't say what I see and ruin the fun for everyone but two great pictures I.View attachment 32327

Great pic, everyone with a phone in hand, a sign of the times!Midnight snacks. Hong Kong.

You're right Iain. Even I have a camera on my phone. But I only ever use it to take photos of things I need to buy from the shops. I see some quite extraordinary things traveling across London every day. And I live on the edge of a forest packed with history. I must work on my photographers eye. Thanks for the well deserved kick up the arse. Not much going on here - must be my turn -

Palma Majorca and Malaga. Leica and film.
If you happen to stumble across this thread - please consider posting your pics here. What with digital these days - it's never been easier. Just resize to 800 pixels on the longest side and that's it - upload it. Job done. If it's interesting to you - it is worth sharing. Put a caption on it - explain why it means something to you. I know that this is principally a shaving forum but I have seen some outstanding images on this thread, it appears though, to be withering on the vine - which would be a shame for me personally. I hugely enjoy looking at other photographer's pictures. By definition - anybody with a camera is a photographer - at least you all have phones don't you? An image is an image is an image - it doesn't matter what it was originated with. Seeing is seeing. Yours - I.
