Nothing special about that image.
I just find the whole scenery had a surrealistic dead and sterile atmosphere which gave me sissy an uncomfortable feeling.
Was shot during a long walk end of summer 2015 on the coast nearby the German city of Cuxhaven at the Northern Sea.

@Floid_Maniac - In honour of you reverting your signature on my behalf for the week - I thought to dig out something a bit diva - you will forgive the low quality of this image. It has never been scanned - I simply re-photographed an awful 6x4 machine proof print. The original is properly sharp and the high-lights hold. That being said - it was shot deliberately high-key. The copying has increased the contrast. Nikon F4 - 85mm - XP2. Single Elinchrom head with soft box. Copied with a D4. cheers - I.

He's a little too "oriental" (as they say) for the breed, but nevertheless reached the dizzying heights of Imperial Grand Champion during his show days. Coonies are the dogs of the cat world - they growl, the sit near you, not on you, they follow you around, they'll walk on leads, they like swimming and the play fetch!
Yeah, Siberian Forest and Norwegian Forest are very similar in looks. Reading between all the myth and bullshit about the breed, they are from Maine and there was a Norwegian Captain (named Coon) who kept cats about ship to keep the rats down. Upon landing in Maine, no doubt some of these cats disembarked ... coming from Norway, they were possibly/probably what modern Norwegian Forest cats were ... which is probably a pretty generic breed across the more northern parts of the world.[/QUOT
Great looking cat. I'm sure it's a sweet heart. Sounds like it's an entertainer, too, and fun to be around. And a champ to boot. Wow!
Have no idea what Norwegian cats are like but is seems the traits of our cats are similar. Take away the growling and what you describe is our Lefty. Must admit I bought our cat because I always had giant dog breeds and liked the idea of a large cat. Didn't know about the big personality part, though. I think I'm starting to appear like the crazy cat ladies on the internet so better stop before I ask about exchanging cat food recipes that contain rabbit. Thanks for the lovely pictures.

This post is inspired by a variety of people here and their thoughts on photography - too many to tag. Beauty is where you find it in a picture. Sharpness is an often over-rated thing and also looking back over the work of Weegee - for the 'favourite picture' thread yesterday. I have a rule that I don't post anything here I was paid to take - copyright issues apart from anything else - but this just squeaks under the radar - yes I was working but considering what I was trying to do it was an epic fail. Didn't make a penny! I find it strangely beautiful. I was just about to explain the technical details but I won't yet. Anybody care to guess what's going on? My initial thoughts is the guy is waiting for a bus at a shelter where youth have become bored and decided to burn the PVC with their BIC lighters and you have captured the reflection of the city behind him?
Just a guess but no matter what, I do love it.
Edit: Now I am thinking is he on a bus?
