I didn't think it was that unusual. :) It worked well, I always add some sweetness to a tomato based sauce to cut the acidity - normally honey or demerera sugar. The mango did the job just as well - a nice fruity touch. The flesh holds its form even after long cooking. A success I think. - I.
I must give this combination a try, were the peppers hot?
