Just finished the first episode, finally something from the BBC that makes me feel less unhappy about wasting money on the tv license which could have been spent on shaving supplies or cats.

Now for the real question, are the "experts" actors or genuine.

Yes. The experts are genuine. And they are apparently 'in' on the joke. But they're not briefed on exactly what Cunk will say, or the questions she will ask, which explains their apparent bemusement.
