Closed Pass Around: Supply Provision Single Edge - CLOSED

I'm not the best at writing reviews, so will keep this brief. I've now used the razor 3 times with the mid/2 plate. Lovely and smooth. I've really enjoyed the razor. The weight, which at first I though was going to be an issue - is offset by the balance which is excellent.

Really like this razor. Going to use the more aggressive/#3 plate for the final couple of shaves.

Thank you @Blademonkey & @riverrun for allowing me to try this fine razor. It will be on it's way to @matteob tomorrow morning.

I really enjoyed this SE. For me the mid/2 plate combined with a Chick was a nice and smooth shave. Just how I like it. The most aggressive plate didn't work for me.

Big fan of the form factor, weight and balance. A great design. Overall I enjoyed this modern SE over the Bunny (sorry Billy). Form an orderly queue gents, and give this razor a try! Well worth it.

Another great write up, thank you. As a HUGE fan of this razor, it is great to read other's impressions as it gets passed around.

Great thread!

Fab write up @Glen_Lee , I'm pleased you enjoyed using what has become one of my favourite razors.

Lovely razor - would happily settle for the basic set with just the mid plate. Like others have stated; not sure about the price.
At $79.00 for the razor plus the middle plate I think is great value when compaired to other stainless steel razors and comes with a life time guarantee. Well Under £100.00 delivered to your door. Plus it's 20% off at the time of writing this using the code STOCKOUT

Not tried it yet but look forward to trying it soon. I have fitted the number three plate as I have found my adjustable performs best wound high. As far as design and quality goes it looks great. I would want the multi plate one but you are looking at £125-130 with customs and Royal Mail's extortion charge, unless these guys are willing to underdeclare like Colonial. Just can't afford that right now. Will report back soon. I am expecting it to be like the Schick adjustable on high but with a bit more glide thanks to the weight.

How are you getting on with the supply SE ?

Hi Paul I have not used it yet as I have been run down and had a bit of a skin breakout on my neck so been using a mild razor. I have set it up with aggressive plate, plan to leave off shaving for a few days and then give it a whirl

Well sad to say something is not quite right. It is currently fitted with the more aggressive plate and a fresh blade from the enclosed pack. However. putting it to my face the blade just would not cut at all and I had to abandon the razor and use another. Here is the picture of the set up and blade. I will try it with another blade and plate soon.

Hi Matthew, I cant really tell from the picture whether it is aligned on the teeth. However, when I used that particular razor, like any injector I realised that it benefits from having a blade already in situ. Thus, a new blade replaces the old one, and therby ensuring that it is aligned. Sorry, not sure if you have used an injector before.

However, the design of this razor possibly means that you secured the plate, then added a blade with the key/magazine? If so it would benefit from another blade being directly injected and replacing the blade that is pictured.

Its a smooth razor. Sounds like that the blade is out of alignment with the plate and/or securing teeth. Check everything looks square, then inject another blade. Try that before changing the plate and blade. Otherwise you may be back to square one.

Looking at your picture in detail I can not see anything wrong, as it is your first use with this razor could it be that you hadn't quite found the right angle to hold the razor? You could try and put the head of the razor on your arm and then while pulling along adjust the angle of the razor untill you feel/ hear it cutting. Some razors, infact a lot of razors have a different angle they need to be held at to alow it to be in the right place for cutting of hair. Worth a go maybe.

I am going to have another go with it tonight. I have changed the head and used one blade to set then put in another (seems a waste) but it all seems overly complicated to me :/

Because loading into an empty injector so often bungs up the blade, the beauty of the Supply is that you can just set one into the plate and screw it on, almost like a DE. After that they load as smooth as silk.

Since I have started using Feather Pros in it, I am doing that anyway.

It really is an ingenious razor.
