palmolive

Not that long ago I grated five sticks of Palmolive into a used Taylors cream tub. I never get along with shave sticks so I never appreciated how good this soap was. Now the stuff explodes out of the tub, it's wonderful stuff.Though I must say I'm not a three swirls and enough for four passes, more like a minute later and straight on the chops. I like it a little on the luxurious side. To think that tub of soap was only a few quid is a great way to experience this wonderful soap.

If the world's supply of my usual soaps and creams suddenly vanished - and all I had to use was this soap (and the cream), I certainly wouldn't be losing any sleep.

How do you find the cream compared to the soap?

Apart from the scent - the lather from the cream always seems a little bit 'shinier' than the soap but they both give me the right kind of lather for a shave.

I used the cream for years when I used disposables and thoughtit was the best.
I still prefer it to the soap,,, it always feels more cushioned and slicker.

Give it a go it's good stuff though I did find that grating it into a container radically changed its performance for the better IMO.
