Palmolive irritation.

I always had problems with TOBS Sandalwood soap. Much irritation.

Palmolive is one of very few soaps that my skin can cope with.

I've typically been able to use scented soaps made from various ingredients but I have got irritation or spots as a result of using some soaps and creams.

I would go a step further and say that Palmolive is a benchmark “mild” soap for me against which I grade all others.

The colouring and scent additives in Palmolive are quite potent. Go google the ingredients!

There is good reason the sensitive version has little scent or colour.

I'm eczema-prone and have an assortment of allergies, yet I seem to tolerate the Palmolive stick really well.

I did buy a three pack of Palmolive Sensitive cream just to try it, but in my opinion it doesn't perform anything like as well as the stick; it lathers very readily but is weak on protection and slickness compared to other products I've tried (with the exception of the WS blue bowl which was similarly disappointing). I'd be happy to send them on for the cost of postage if anyone wants to try them on the cheap.
