Chuffed with that, Painters Touch from B&Q £2 for 20ml.

Put masking tape around the adjustment knob (just below the numbers). Blobbed paint in the numbers & dots with a cocktail stick (broke sharp point of stick off).

Left the paint for about 30 seconds & then wiped away the excess with strips of kitchen towel. Paint stayed in the numbers

 
Looks smart, Shaun! Very neatly done. I've been experimenting with etching and painting the etch in a very similar fashion to this. On flat surfaces, I've found leaving the paint to dry and sanding with as high a grit sandpaper as is available (I've been using 7000 grit) does a great job. Kind enough to not cause damage to the surface, but harsh enough that it removes the paint on raised surfaces!

Tempted to try this with a modified Gold Dollar down the line...
