Rather than LPG could you not use a little quiet generator? Then just use a machine without LPG conversion?

LPG is far cleaner, safer and easier to handle.

I was actually wondering if you could have actually converted the Piaggio to LPG too, best of both worlds as long as you have a supply nearby.
 

I am helping to run a stall for the scouts at the July Rowntree's park fair, I shall pop across and grab a chat and a coffee!
