All of the above but how did you leave out cheese, Marmite, jam, marmalade, and eggs (not at the same time)? There were so many things that as a child I ate on toast. No not baked beans or spaghetti hoops, but real food:
Sardines
Potted Beef
Potted Shrimps
Dripping
I haven't tried these but they're now on my radarI did experiment with Pork Rillettes a few years ago...
Goodness we used to fight for the dripping in my house when I was growing up. Dripping on toast was my Sunday tea of choice.
Ha! My mum had to guard the dripping and carefully ration it. Or else war would break out. Goodness my mouth is watering just thinking about it.i was regularly in trouble with me mam when we had beef for sunday dinner, id pretty much have all the hot dripping used up with half a loaf of bread before dinner

I did experiment with Pork Rillettes a few years ago, I think Pork Rilletes and Potted Morecambe Bay Shrimps should rejoin my menu.
In the Navy we had the much-loved 'cheesy hammy eggy'. Slab of ham on toast, grilled cheese on top of that and a fried egg to crown it. If you got two you could squash them together. Not sophisticated, not 'foodie' but bloody lovely.
Yes, my local deli sells it. Waitrose sells the Unearthed product as above.Pork rillettes are available in the UK?
fish has made me nauseous since my early teens.
