On the benefits of Public Schools...

This is something that was told to me and I have no way of verifying it.
The famous John Brown shipyard on the Clyde had a subsidiary firm to maintain the power tools used in the yard.
This firm had a large sign advertising it's presence facing either a main road or a main line railway.
The sign allegedly read "John Brown's Tool Works"
 
But it must have been correct there wan no wiggly red line under it.

Today I deceived an email (direct marketing aka spam) advising me about a sign company's latest offer

and they think that will bring in business!!!!!
