4 La Barbiera soaps £8.99 and 3 Goodfellows Blueberry soaps £7.99 from La Barbiera of course. One Goodfellows is missing because I cut the little box up to make a label. I like them all. Very similar - same weight, same size. All pleasant smells.

I’ve been aware of these La Barberia soaps for some time so it would be very interesting to read your opinions of their performance. Scent, whilst enjoyable, is of secondary importance to the quality of the lather.

Agreed. Scent is of no importance for me because it's quickly gone and replaced with aftershave or cologne. I mention it because some of us find the scent really important. Lathering is great with all the soaps. I wash my face, leave it wet, and rub the soap over the face as if it was Arko. Brush to a gorgeous lather.

A few interesting and comparatively cheap additions to the stash:

• Aramis - 240ml for just £22 in TK Maxx as it's being discontinued
• Hattric AS x 2 for just £5 from a perfume shop called Beauty Base in Westfield, Shepherds Bush, London
• NOS tallow Kent from eBay without the scalper mark-up - I think this is quite old as there is no batch code and it's the long since discontinued red label with a different scent
• Latest formulation MWF + dish, again found without scalper mark-up after a bit of digging online

Nice haul @SeanC ... I bagged an Aramis (or two) but from eBay the other month.

You've got my OCD for British hard soaps tingling with that Kent acquisition and really, really want to know the formulation ... or scent. The game is afoot!

EDIT: Hard to see in your picture, but does it say "contains Lanolin" on the sticker? Like this?

Unnecessary purchase but was v reasonably priced in Australia so I could not resist. I cleaned it up a bit and unless I’m wrong, looks like a 1951 Tech Set no 32 with a non original / matching handle and box. Any knowledge from others on the razor and how to fully clean the felt will be appreciated. Thanks
