How about Straight Razor September ! and assuming we have any members or ears left Old School October. Thanks for all the replies so far.
Runnng a thread for a yearly sabbatical seems to have few interested in it, but it seems themed months could be gain a bit more interest.
Of the themed shaving months mooted, include Single Edge September, Open Comb October, Signature Soaps September, No Shave November.
Chris @Boycie83 had his MIC DE Razor months which was a lot of fun to read.
Are there any suggestions for themes for the early start of the year? I'd seen it else where but February could be a 1 soap month as it is the shortest month of the year?
Any suggestions for January, be it blades, razors, soaps, splashes, things made in the UK/Italy/USA etc?
Need? I'm not sure (for me ) need comes into it as it's a hobby ( as well as staying fresh) but I do understand what you mean. I retired one razor after many years of service so replaced that. I will admit to a variety of shaving soaps etc......I've been thinking of doing a buying sabbatical for 2021. I have so much stuff and I really dont need to buy anymore, and I think some buying restraint is needed.
You have that many? Jeses I dont feel too bad having three ( five if you include an Artist and a kamisori).
Okay, okay, okay.
Its January 2021.
My mission if I choose to accept it, is to use a different vintage razor for each day of this 1st month - god help me!
I think a few of us could do more than a month! You have that many? Jeses I dont feel too bad having three ( five if you include an Artist and a kamisori).
How long did it take to amass such a collection.....I think a few of us could do more than a month!
For me, less than 18 month. It sort of took hold. How long did it take to amass such a collection.....
I have a variety of creams and soaps (and watches strangely) but try to quell the desire for more razors. It doesng help that my Jagger's are firm favourites either...

At least they're trying - I didn't even make it in to 2021 before abandoning my 2021 sabbaticalBack to reality, I'm giving 20 to 1 odds on these guys crackin' like nuts and buyin' more crap.

I'll do a variation of this - if I use each of my vintage ladies for 2-3 shaves, that should get me through the month.
I'll set a dedicated thread up for Vintage Month - January 2021
I'd also like to set my challenge for February - Feather February. I'm going to learn the ASD2 and my other razors can only be used with Feather blades.
