Good to know, cheers Billy! it all really depends on what is underneath, whether it's brass plating something else (copper perhaps? I wouldn't have guessed Zamak but I'm not certain). If it is solid brass then the issue isn't too great - if it isn't then it's a guessing game.
 
As I Said..Some have ZERO Plating Underneath..The Ones that Do its was a Thin Spray of Brass I Believe..But..Its NOT a Proper Coating or Plating Like the 1914, 1924 Etc..

The Early OCMM Brought Out on 1929/1930 was Solid Brass..That was Changed within 18 Months or So when they Released the New Models with the 2 Bumps on the Blade Tray to take the New DOUBLE SIDED Gem Blade..So the Rest are Just Made of Steel..
