Newbie with AC blades - advice / info / recommendation needed on different blades

Hi all, there was a bit of info buried away in some earlier posts but some of it goes back many years. It'll help me & maybe new members to get the latest views and info on AC blades.

I've got an SE razor on the way (this is after i recently said in the acquisitions thread that the Razorine i had bought would be my last razor purchase for a while.......). Anyway, I have a Yaqi excalibur aluminium coming so I can test the water with AC blades. If I like AC then I am sure I will fall victim to paying £££££££ for a better razor!

I am hoping to get some advice on which order to try the blades out and some basic info on each (e.g order of which are considered sharpest, efficient, most durable/economical, which is the best all rounder etc). I am coming into this pretty blind so will be appreciative of advice from some seasoned pros!

The blades I have are:

Proline P-30
Feather Pro Guard
Feather Pro
Kai Titan Mild
Feather Super Pro
Kai Captain

Thanks, Abs

Feather Pro, Proline, and Kai Captains are all comparable. I consider these the "standard" blade. Your mild options are the Titan Mild (which isn't that mild, really) and the ProGuard. Then you have the Feather ProSuper which is much more blade-forward because it is physically bigger with more blade exposure. Start with one of the standard blades and stick with it for several shaves (5+). Then you can determine whether you should go up in efficiency, down in efficiency, or a lateral move to one of the other standards. If you wind up enjoying the guarded blade, you can add the Kai Captain Titan Mild Protouch MG to your list. It's a good blade and it comes with the distinction of having the worst blade name in the shaving market.
