I know mate. It wasn't aimed at you it was just a general post to inform people who haven't had one and are expecting a miracle brush to arrive. No worries Wayne I liked the ones I had before when they were LS...just was on a bit of a brush purge at the time.
I wouldn't be bashing them I think they are phenomenal for the price point! Looking forward to it arriving!
I think I did not load enough of the Windsor soap to make a good lather. And the same goes for the Semogue brush. Maybe the synthetic brush is easier to load and I am used to that.Nothing wrong with that lather at all.

That is exactly what I have done. I've loaded both the badger and the boar the same amount of time I was loading the synthetic. Also, I was squeezing all of the water out of the brushes prior to loading. After reading a little bit more I will load the boar and badger fairly wet.A synth brush is normally easier to work with than a badger just for fun test the same amount of soap and compare the outcome with differents brushes.
...a fair few of the tips are hooked (I suspect the knot has been doused in some serious chemicals and probably bleached) as for the 'gel tip' feel...no.soft when wet - crispy when dry - you may have a badger with hooked tips
Both my Shavemac unique knots feel exactly the same as the Maseto's crispy dry, soft when wet....a fair few of the tips are hooked (I suspect the knot has been doused in some serious chemicals and probably bleached) as for the 'gel tip' feel...no.
Love my Maseto. But I find myself looking at the Shavemac site almost daily now. Worrying sign!
I'm on a very slippery slope here. Then do not Google: Heinrich L. Thäter GmbH, Pinsel-Manufaktur...
