New Maseto brush

I didn't even know that was considered shedding, I had it lose a couple of hairs as well, still lose one every third or fourth shave but plenty of hair there!
 
My first Shavemac has never lost a hair yet. The second Shavemac lost one on the first use and never again.... keep fingers crossed
With my 3 Stirlings.... they have lost a few but not many, maybe a dozen between the 3 of them over more than 100 shaves.

My 2 Maseto have lost about 10 hairs over the last 6 shaves.... I'm hoping they will stop shedding soon.
 
So what am I doing wrong?
I've soaked the brush, bloomed the soap (DR Harris Windsor), squeezed most of the water out of the brush, loaded for one minute and then lathered in my new bowl
The lather is airy, bubbly and not very peaky. The more I whip it up, it dissipates.
How does one use this Maseto brush? I have the same issue with the Semogue 1305.

Quick question - have you cleaned the brush with shampoo and conditioner? It's usually a 'go-to' for a people receiving brushes, first-hand or second-hand. I found the following steps have worked without fault for me;
  1. cleaning with shampoo,
  2. rinse,
  3. loading a soap really heavily,
  4. lathering that on my palm or in a bowl and leaving that stand for 24hrs, lather included,
  5. washing out the residual lather 'crud' that's there
  6. giving it an extra rinse or 3 for reassurance,
  7. blow drying on a gentle heat with some aid from a comb.
  8. try using it.
Don't be afraid to load nice and heavy. Too many bubbled/airiness can mean there's not enough soap there.
 
Steps that I took so far:
1. Clean it with dish soap
2. Clean it with shampoo
3. Lather up with cream and leave it over night. Next day there was nothing left in the knot.
4. Lather up again with cream and leave it. A few hours later the knot was again dry with nothing left inside.
5. Lather it up with hard soap. I got the airy bubbly lather.
6. Start reading the whole thread on Maseto brushes
7. Use conditioner. Leave for five minutes, then rinse.
8. Load up again hard soap and bowl lather. Pictures above.
9. Rinse it, squeeze as much water as possible out of it and load again. This time I got better results, but still a little bubbly. There is room for improvement.

Seeing as you've conditioned it, try a quick clean as deep as possible into the knot with your fingers with shampoo again until everything is squeaky clean. Give it another thorough rinse with warm (not too hot) water. Get a nice soft soap from your collection rather than the DR Harris Windsor, and try again. Make sure the knot is nice and damp/well soaked prior to use, make sure you load heavy this time. Let us know your findings.
