New iKon

The new unreleased iKon & the all stainless Pils. The new iKon is 100% stainless steel with a stainless coating similar to the Feather SS. This is suppose to prevent scratches. Second the handle is slightly thicker then the Pils and knurled. The weight about 125 grams.

What do you think?

As far as I can tell there is no patent on the Pils.

As far as I can tell there is no patent on the Pils.

Probably not, but there's also such a thing as trade mark - distinctive shapes can be protected as trade mark, unless they are inevitable from a functional point of view (but then they can be patented...)

Apart from that, I do not particularly fancy the looks of a PILS; or of the iKon clone... I much prefer the 'standard' iKons.

I have the Pils and I don''t find myself wishing it was knurled. Admittedly if it was knurled the grip would be superb but I do not find the smooth version slipping in hands.

I like the knurling, it suits the lighter coloured steel; even without a blade in them they look like lethal weapons.
