I quite like that handle, though doubt ill buy the razor, Gillette have had enough cash out of me, and i generally only go for open comb DE's these days. I'll try a tuck of blades though if i see them on a shelf near me.
Superdrug is owned by AS Watson.I was expecting the razors to be marketed through Boots and Superdrug, both part of the Walgreens corporation, but it has not happened. Stocks seem to very low at the moment and hard to find in many of the Walgreens outlets. I expect air freight has significantly reduced and getting stock from China is not easy; something to do with some fellow called Covid causing pandemonium.
"Presentation" sells.
I think it was designed to go on supermarket shelves so advertising the brand must have been a consideration; mentioned above. Could easily get >50 in that carton. It may be a few months before the supermarkets stock them though as buying in new stock would not be top of the list at the moment. As you say, at least the packaging can be recycled. It looks nice but it's completely unnecessary. At least it's cardboard.
...I also hear there are no instructions in the razor carton which would not be a problem for a seasoned DE shaver, but someone switching from cartridge to DE may have an issue. In the old days Gillette always gave insructions on how to use the razor; bit of a faux pas on this razor.
