Hopefully not - those blades are naffProbably NRK manufacturers of Proshave and Kamisori brands.
Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear that you're concerned about our blade quality. The only person who knows the specific details of our partnership is our CEO, so I can't confirm where our blades are (or are not) made.
My suggestion would be to keep the order as is and try the blades for yourself. You're always welcome to return them for a full refund if you don't like them.
For what it's worth, the blades have been in development for over 2 years - and rated extremely favorably in extensive user testing with hundreds of Supply customers. Any rumors as to who makes them - or the quality of the shave they give - would be complete conjecture.
I really hope you love them as much as we do - but if you don't I'll stand by to process a complete refund for you.
Thanks for the heads-up! An interesting blade I'd like to try one day.
In other news: I'm so tired of this never-ending "800 years of Japanese metallurgical tradition" BS.
Their own metallurgy starts with the arrival of English and German specialists in the late XIXth century.
Before that - mostly Chinese products and odd European pieces (like those funny pre-Tokugawa Portuguese breastplates they passed from generation to generation). Rant mode off.
