I bought 400 last year from Amazon when they were just over £8 for 100 and i thought that was great value for such a good blade !
New Bic CP or just a minor packaging update?

I recently posted that I was struggling with these blades, finding them challenging to get an irritation free shave (same issues with the KGC premium own brand).
I tried one today with my new razor (BB TI) and I had my closest, cleanest shave ever. Some of the smallest weepers yes, I'm sure that's due to me having used and gotten familiar with the slightly more forgiving Perma-Sharps and Nacets. Plus, I really pushed my luck with the razor, it being so light and nimble means buffing is a lot less destructive to my face and enables BBS shaves.
There are a few spots on my face that take more work and diligence to remove hair (little swirls, or the hair grows almost parallel to my skin etc) and the BICs are merciless! Absolutely nothing left on the third pass and TBH, it was nearly BBS on the second. They are certainly sharper than the Perma-Sharps and Nacets (whichI rate as very easy and pleasant to use, with good results).
I think this is a case of the BB TI fitting my technique better; I prefer shaving very shallow and in hindsight, I wonder if I was trying to make the Rocca R94 (+R41) fit my technique, rather than me adjusting for the razor all along? When I've gotten over the buzz of using the the razor that seems to work perfectly for me, I'll go back to the Rocca and adjust.
Anyway, this is a superb blade and been an interesting learning experience for me - yes blades have their own personalities, but the razor has a big impact on how we experience them. I'm pleased because I was concerned at maybe not being able to use this brand, now I understand them and have 400 blades to enjoy!

I have used both extensively.
My findings were that the KGC blades are just buttery smooth and very sharp straight out of the wrapper for the first 2 shaves, then start to go off, whereas the BIC's need to settle down on the first shave, as many other blades do, but the BIC's then become very, very sharp and smooth for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th shaves (and even beyond that !!)
I like both, but if i had to pick just one it would likely be the BIC.
Interesting to know; I previously found it hard to discern much difference because I was unable to get consistently good results with either - most likely user error lol.
From what you're described I imagine I'll end up preferring the KGCs; I'll keep using this for a few more, switch to KGC and report back.

This is my experience for every MIC Gillette. Start off great then they degrade very quickly, the opposite to a lot of other Gillettes (other blades too) which start off a bit rough or too sharp then settle in for a lot of great and consistent shaves. Not saying one is better or worse than the other though, blades are the ultimate YMMV.
