netflix recommendations

For me, Prime doesnt begin to compare to Netflix. My hearing loss is profound so I have to use sub-titles for most programs to make sense and I get really pissed when Amazon advertise films that don’t have a sub-title option for their UK site -even though the US version does. The other moan is the tendency to have programs that need to be paid for - what’s the effing point of having a subscription service?

I won’t be cancelling my Netflix I’ve had it for years might add prime too though and look into the music subscription that goes with it see if it’s any good I’ve had Apple Music for years too so it would have to be as good..need to look into the Apple TV too see how they compare but being fairly new I didn’t think they really had much to offer

I don’t know if Prime music is any different to Amazon Music - I switched to Spotify from Amazon as it offers a greater catalogue.

Thank you that’s good to know as Apple Music are pretty similar to Spotify depending on if your preference is more commercialised or not some differences but if the catalog of music on prime isn’t as good as Spotify it won’t be as good as apple either by the sounds of it.. think the benefit Amazon has on apple is maybe more tv/films as it’s been around longer and the prime delivery, might just give the free trail a go to see what they have to offer and same with apple one to compare the two and stick to my Apple Music. Then there is the now tv to consider a cut down version of sky without the contract..just don’t fancy being tied in again really

Roku is it essentially the same as fire stick ? Do you get sports through it or is it mainly films and tv shows it’s good for ? Still worth having though I can just pay for sports with Now tv and Bt then watch everything else on the roku gonna have a good research see what I can do with it..thanks Toby

Never looked into the fire stick so I don't know. There are many channels you can add, some free some not, and what is offered may be different for you.

Just finished watching the excellent Wormwood. If you like your true Cold War cover up stories involving the CIA and scientists doing crazy stuff - this is for you! Very well made too. Combines a documentary style with acted scenes. Compelling & eye opening. Google M K Ultra o_O

 
Just finished watching the south Korean series, the squid game. Absolutely fantastic story and visually. I watched it with sub titles as I can't get away with dubbing, the bloke I work with watched it dubbed and it sounds like it may be a slightly different storyline for the dubbed version. Or he could just have been a bit pissed when he was watching it :)
