greetings,

following all your good advice (and it was good) i ended up ignoring it because i saw something on ebay that i quite liked the look of and i think i got lucky - it's a nice razor and in good condition. can anyone tell me more about it ie what model it is etc?

it looks a different colour and shape in the flesh.
 
As with any eBay bay, check out the condition to make sure it's all there. On this razor the head does open to clean . Easy to open hard to close. If you don't close it right the blade will slip and cut you. Just what where everything is if you open and where it is when you close it.
Buy new blades and enjoy.
 
thanks for the link to the site, it looks like an e3. there are some blades in the injector, i put one in the razor which looked a bit dirty but cleaned it with some washing up liquid and now looks nice and shiny. no idea how old the blades are.
