My first re knot.

That looks fantastic and has given me inspiration.
I have bought a couple of old brushes off ebay and I'm going to have a go at re-knotting myself - or rather re-knotting the brushes myself.
I doubt that this will happen until the new year, but if the results go well I'll be sharing them with you.

very nice peter ive aquired a battered brush with a nice wooden handle that came with a ball-end travel kit & i might just risk a new knot in it. what glue did you use please?, i see another poster talked about epoxy putty, which ive never heard of. thank you.

it seems to me to be very similar to what they use on cars before they sand it down and paint them

That was me. I only used the putty because the handle that I was using was completely hollow and so I needed to fill it up with something anyway. If it's just normal hole sized to fit the knot, then you'd be better of using something like Araldite epoxy.
