I asked Fatip to buy a top cap from them because the one on my Testina Gentile had its gold finish chipping after couple of uses. Obviously a dud because the Grande has zero issues with its finish after hundreds of shaves. They told me they will replace the whole razor and then they just ignored me. That's how Italians do customer service. Loving it.

It was supposed to be a joke on the fact that he said it was Italian and the stereotype that Italian products look nice, but are unreliable and poorly built e.g. the association with Italian cars years ago.Tell me why you thought it likely to fall apart so soon?
The impression I gained over time was that the QC was a bit iffy when it came to finishing off and the blade alignment could be hit and miss [slightly more concerning], but that most people forgave those drawbacks given that it's as cheap as chips and performed rather well, most of the time.
But, remember, I haven't (yet?) bought one so am not speaking from a position of authority here.
In fact, when have I ever spoken from ..... etc etc ?
