I'd say smoother finish as a result of plating. 6S is a sand blasted finish so technically a rougher edge. I'd guess someone may favour one over the other in conjunction with thicker vs thinner lather. Thicker, you'd likely see less ‘sticking' with the 6S then the 6C and the rougher finish would be more masked. Thinner, you'd feel more of the 6S and the smooth 6C would glide more easily.
Speculation but educated guess, I guess?
You might be right - it makes sense except that for me the 6C is also more efficient. Maybe the smooth finish gives more feedback and as a result I position it with a better angle? ....

What have I said that's obviously incorrect?
At least the price point of the ROCCA is lower than most of the SS DE razors aroundI have said this before, but the Rocca did nothing for me. I respect those who can't say anything bad about it, but I just couldn't get the results I was expecting. Add to that I thought it was poorly manufactured.

Someone take a feeler gauge and check the blade gaps on the two respectively using the same blade. If the same then any difference is just mental posturing and clearly just a daily variation which would be my educated guess.

I totally agree, but the SS mania these days is high and everything marked as stainless steel is now looked after as a big deal. Which might not be.I'd sooner pay more and get a properly executed product.
I always trusted Muhle on the accurate details..
And I, having never tried a DE89 or similar, find the Rocca a beaut!Likewise and one of the reasons I felt it wasn't quite what I thought it might be. I was rather expecting something similar to an 89 on steroids.
Do something properly or not at all.
Agreed. After 4 years of being involved in D.E. shaving and owning as many as 25 razors, from the very expensive to the very inexpensive, I am down to 2. Muhle R-41 and Muhle R-89.Any razor made from stainless steel.
