New Year’s resolution… soap soap soap. Got my eye on a few, but waiting until the Christmas madness is over.

I've said it before, prior to MWF moving from tallow, that if they did ... it'd probably be a lot like LEA. LEA sticks now has a new formulation for 2024 (very close to the Muhle, Tabac, Spieck, etc formulation ... possibly same noodle/base supplier) and to be frank, it's a lot like MWF in use. Different scent. Still includes the lanolin.

Which soaps contain lanolin?

We've had a few MWF threads of late and it got me wondering ... for folks that can't or if Mitchell's have finally stiffed us all with an ingredient supply change that has rendered our favourite soap now useless, which other soaps contain lovely lanolin? Obviously MWF, but what else? 1. LEA...

Certainly a LOT more than Haslinger, which I did not get on with - I really wanted to as I loved the propolis smell of Honig, but it's that tackiness during the shave juddering the razor head and stickiness post-shave (even after highly-alcoholic splashes) which ultimately put me off.

Iv tried Haslinger and liked it however for me it’s not a patch on MWF
but it’s all about opinions

I just used the MWF tallow like a shave stick, and face lather… Easy bloody peasy

Never bowl lather, because, the lather isn’t very dense or thicker enough.

Never had any issues with MWF like a shaving stick, and just face lather the fat.
 
All we have been told is that the MWF product line is going, along with the retail shop.

If they are closing the business completely, then I would expect the company to continue filing accounts for a while whilst they consolidate any existing manufacturing and marketing arrangements and account for existing stock / cash / liabilities.

It takes time to shut down an old company and come up with a set of final accounts.

The website disappearing doesn't mean they have locked the doors and gone to live in Spain :)
