Minimalist Travel Kit

Afternoon All,

Does anyone have their definitive travel kit ideas.

Must be minimalist , no swanky hotels you understand, I do realise that the term camping might be some thing of an anathema to some .............but I like roughing now and again.

My thoughts are : Travel tech, obvious choice but not so sure how much of that missing 2" or so am going to notice. So thinking Lord Tech ,Concord Techie type thing or a Wilke

Blades. Could be difficult..........Probably Derby

Brush. Old Man-U

Soap/ cream. I like soap. But I feel a good old tube of Palmolive would probably be the order of the day.

A/S~Balm. Probably not

Case/container. Well, using a "Indian" sun glasses case at the mo. All fits plus a 2" mirror but minus cream.
( must look at that situation )

Well plenty of time to fine tune

appreciate any thought ,ideas

John

My travel kit is anything but minimal, Simpsons Major Brush, Merkur Futur, pack of Swedes, La Toja shave stick, Alum stick, Proraso Splash, T&H 1805 Balm and Cologne and some Proarso pre shave and some moisturiser.

I refure to compromise but there are some good travel razors if you are tight for space, some of the vintage leather cased grooming kits on the bay often have tubes for brush and shave sticks along with a Tech and a mirror. The Rev seems to rate them as good value.

as i don't want anything to get lost\stolen\damaged etc i use a disposable for the razor

shave stick - Boots, La Toja (these come in handy holders)

travel brush

decant a\s or tube of Arko asb

HD in plastic travel case.
Blades - fit in travel case (any you like :D )
Men U Brush
Menu sample tubes ( cream, facewash and AS balm) and /or
Small container (1/3 palmolive stick and sliver of alum)

aye it is serving me well, contents are a bit different now mind you :D

Tech, little Culmak brush, Palmolive, 10 blades of some sort or another and a miniature jam jar of Proraso pre/post. The brush and soap go in a pair of tubes from one of those old travel sets which keep on turning up, and the whole lot gets absorbed into one of these:

which includes a perfectly useless mirror.

I'm liking that Andy , do I take it that you use one of the above? And if so would you describe it as robust ? Motorcycle camping takes no prisoners

Regards John

I've had it for three years now and it's still in good shape, so yes, pretty robust. My wife has something similar from Jack Wolfskin which has fared just as well, so there's a few options to look at. One interesting place for adventurous travel gear is here:
