Merkur 43C Stainless

Thought Merkur were doing an all stainless Razor..............but it's only the Handle, the Head is the normal Chrome Plated version, would of thought if they were going to the trouble of having a SS Handle, then just have a SS head too ???? :roll:

It probably shaves well but it's not a looker and you wouldn't show it to your mates. It's a bit like owning a moped or a very fat girlfriend. It's all a lot of fun until someone finds out and sees you with it.

The point of stainless steel as I understood it is that it doesn't rust or lose it's plating or anything.

The part of a razor which appears to be prone, well, if any part is, to rusting or plate loss is the head.

So this razor has a stainless steel handle and a plated head? Why? Short words please, posts including words like "marketing" will be ignored.

Somehow just doesn't look like the characteristic, almost trademark, Merkur appearance of a piece of heavy industrial equipment which it's impossible to dent, destroy or wear out. Imo anyway.
