Arrived in the post this morning, a couple of old friends renewed:
MÜHLE Classic 25mm Silvertip Fibre
Merkur 42c 1904

The quality of the Merkur finish surprised me, the plating is nearly MÜHLE standard, and the edges of the plates are properly smoothed and finished. This is one of the first razors I had roughly 10 years ago, it always was a favourite razor then, so I hope it will be good as a travel companion now. I had a 25mm Silvertip Fibre Edwin Jagger a couple of years ago and liked the knot but not the handle. The MÜHLE has a different handle and costs more so here's hoping.
 

Just an update for anyone who is interested.
I used the bowl today, no issues, bodyshop synthetic brush with bodyshop Macca and aloe shaving cream.... (that's right... Body shop, Macca and Aloe.)
Whipped up a lovely lather.

It's been a roller-coaster. To be honest there are none I have that I dislike. The worst shave I had was with my Myatt's. I used NOS Myatt Daymark blades that were about 90yr old. God that was rough. I will go again with them though. At the mo I have made 2 X Myatt/Parker Frankenrazorz so they can take new blades.
I now need to work out rotations so I use SE, DE & Vintage weekly.
Unless I see a ?????????
That should be me done - for now.
