Traditional English clothing for gentleman is completely top notch. Have always loved the style.I have now managed to get most of my clothing to be made in the UK. I have reversed 25 years of off shoring.
My knitwear is Pringle, John Smedley, Hawick and Houghton. My shirts are Smyth and Gibson, Grosvenor and Cleeve of London. My shoes are Loake 1880, Barker Handcrafted and Joseph Cheaney. My boxers are from British Boxers, my pj's are mostly Bonsoir. Just need to get my cords and chinos from Cordings or the various Yorkshire factories, and some Sunspel or Smedley t-shirts.
France and Italy are considered the vanguard of fashion. Give me an English country gentleman's wardrobe anytime.Excellent choices. I have been trying to buy any new clothes from Britain too. I received 3 new pairs of Pantherella socks this morning and expecting my new William Lennon Boots to arrive early next week.. I can vouch for the quality of Robert Owen Undershirts, Gloverall and Lavenham quilted jackets also. We make some of, if not the best quality clothing and shoes in the world and it's nice to support British manufacturing and workers.
Barbour clothing still made in the UK.
The ready to wear shirtmakers in the UK are:Hiut jeans
NPS shoes
Probably about the best I can do as I think the Geeves shirts I wear are probably Turkey.
