John, how does it compare to the Zamak R89? i used to have the Twist and loved it to bits. Is it worth the money spend as in picking up the SS instead of the humble Zamak version ?

I have both and although the R89 J80 weighs a bit more the shave is very similar. Blindfold shaving I'd struggle to tell the difference. So it's only worth paying the a multiple of the price if you value the improved precision and potential longer life you should get from stainless steel.

I have no regrets. I even bought a spare when I saw someone on Vinted selling theirs half price.

It's also a nice handle to use with the head of an R41 GS to create an R41 in stainless steel.

Blindfold shaving I'd struggle to tell the difference.

Trying shaving around your jockstraps, why? It’s super sensitive against your face, and you should be able to tell the difference side by side straight away. Good luck.

Or, maybe shave your hairy legs.
