You would like the heft of the Hone type 15' long handle and made of brass so quite heavy. P.Evening all,
So I'm fairly big at 6ft 5 and have shovel like hands. I find the standard handles a bit of a challenge, but I find the longer handled razors a bit light and toy like.
Does anyone have any recommendations for longer handled razors that still have some substantial weight to them? TIA

Hello mate - I'm only very slightly shorter than you and have the mitts to match - I find a solution by placing the end of the razor handle on my pinky - which I crook in during shaving - gives any handle an extra inch in use effectively - light razors don't bother me but - if you want a seriously heavy handle - have a look here -Evening all,

I bought a stainless steel one from them previously - same dimensions - which they don't seem to do any more - in the hand it feels like it is made out of plutonium - with an added bag of bricks - the brass version is even heavier - I can't speak for the quality of the head - I got mine handle only. Hope this helps - cheers - I.

Merkur 38C or 39C should do it. There's also this:

I can shave with it next and let you know what it's like (although I have beautiful, delicate and feminine hands). Finally found a use for my Chinese Razor Month thread

The shave with it today went very well:I'm liking the look of the Yaqi stuff. I recently ordered a brush from them which I got for just over £5! I'll definitely consider looking at this at some point.
